Kühnl & Hoyer was founded by Adolf and Josef Kühnl and Emil Hoyer in 1948.
Branimir Slokar about the trombones of the "Slokar" edition: "I am very happy that I have succeeded in combining my experience as an orchestra musician and soloist with the outstanding expertise of Kühnl & Hoyer in one instrument. I would particularly like to mention Dr.-Ing. Wogram from the Laboratory for Musical Acoustics of the 'Physikalisch-Technischen Bundesanstalt Braunschweig', whose research is the basis of our tuning slide. The special form of this tuning slide allows a very good height. The versatility of our models offers every trombonist the opportunity to find the right instrument for him. The ideal combination of the new program for me is a trombone with the "open flow" valve and the new strong "Symphony performance" bell ,
With this new valve, playing with the valve is even more enjoyable and free, but at the same time more compact in tone. "
