Yamaha Signature Series Thomas Bacon French Horn Mouthpiece, silver plated
Thomas Bacon's work in the US, Europe, South America and Asia put him at the highest level of horn players worldwide. He held the first horn post in Syracuse Symphony, Detroit Symphony, Houston Symphony and the Berlin Radio Symphony Orchestra. He has performed as a guest artist with the Berliner Philharmoniker, the Berliner Oper, Pittsburg, Milwaukee, Chicago, Phoenix, Fort Worth Symphony and many others. As a solo hornist, he has performed with over one hundred orchestras in the US and has been a guest at all major music festivals across the globe. He can be heard on dozens of solo recordings and over fifty contemporary works have been written for him.
This mouthpiece has a large inner ring diameter with a large, V-shaped cup. Tom needs an extremely versatile mouthpiece because he plays in so many different casts. Large symphonic orchestras, small ensembles, brass ensembles and solo lectures. With his mouthpiece, he can play as high or as strong as necessary and develop the rich and full sound he wants - in every register. The sound is well focused, with clarity and projection and the playability is comfortable with good feedback.
